  • Sales figures
  • Development environment issues
  • Time to market
  • Delivery date on time
  • Issues, bugs found after a release
  • Distribution of bugs over the project phases
  • Failures of 3rd party agreements
  • Understanding of department priorities
  • Usage of project budget
  • Changes of resources during the project

An idea how to measure the effectivity of a retrospective (from Ervin)

Some months after the retrospective I ask the participants personally the following questions:
  • What do you think how much part of the defined action items has been accomplished?

Possible answers: none, partly, mainly, entirely.

  • How many positive changes have occured as a result of the last retrospective?

Possible answers: none, some, several, many.

  • How far did you manage to take into consideration the findings of the last retrospective?

Possible answers: none, partly, mainly, entirely.

  • If your last answer was other than “entirely”, please give me the reason(s) for this.
  • Would you recommend the retrospective to other colleagues?

Possible answers: no, yes.

  • Do you have any further comments?
